PetroMax is pleased to announce the successful completion of our second horizontal Cotton Valley well, the Hudman #8H. The #8H had an initial production of 4.87 MMCF/D, the highest initial production for a Cotton Valley well in the history of Harrison County.

A six-stage Packer Plus fracture stimulation treatment was completed on April 4th. The frac used 1,821,500 lbs. of frac sand, and 33,963 bbls of water.

Hudman #8H was turned into the sales line at approximately 3:00pm on April 9th. The well’s initial flowing rate was 4.87 MMCF/D (5,070 MMBTU) while continuing to blow back 70 bbls water per hour.

Comparing similar flowing pressures and volumes, Hudman #8H appears to be 55% - 63% stronger than our first horizontal well, the Hudman #7H.

Hudman #8H’s gas is flowing into the Texas Eastern pipeline, and sold on a daily spot market. (April 9th: $9.80 / MMBTU).

Hudman #8H has set a record high in Harrison County for initial production by a Cotton Valley well. Previously, the biggest IP had been 4.22 MMCF/D among 1,777 wells.* At 4.87, Hudman #8H is now the biggest Cotton Valley well in the history of Harrison County, topping the previous high by a margin of over 15%.
