Petromax Completes Newest Cotton Valley Gas Well
Gas well turns out to be a great Oil well.
Garland, TX, 02/02/2009 – Petromax Operating, Inc. announced today the successful completion of its Atkinson #1 Cotton
Valley well in Rusk County, TX. The Atkinson #1 reached a total depth of 10,955’ on November 18, 2008. A Schlumberger triple combo log was run the following day. Initial log analysis indicates a productive Taylor, Middle, and Upper Cotton Valley Sections, as well as two Travis Peak sands that appear commercial from log analysis. The Atkinson #1 has averaged 583.64 MCFD (Thousand Cubic Feet per Day/Gas) and 200.57 BOPD (Barrels of Oil Per Day) for the first 19 days of production, following a three stage facture stimulation procedure. ”We are very pleased with the oil/gas ratio we have achieved in the Atkinson #1”, states company President Larry Crain.
